DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Fiscal Technician, you will reconcile and maintain subsidiary accounts, prepare daily cash receipt transmittal reports, and maintain spreadsheets. As a member of our fiscal team, you will work with other staff to maintain and update revenues, maintain ongoing reviews and analysis of the county ledger, prepare and transmit adjusting journal entries, monthly medical assistance accounts receivable balances, and general expenditure account reconciliations. Other key duties include cross training, assisting with contracts, completing quarterly administrative claims, and attending training and conferences.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirements. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
