The Employment Specialist will provide comprehensive support and career guidance to clients participating in the Justice Reinvestment Initiative program. You will assess vocational strengths, arrange training opportunities, facilitate job skills development, and coordinate job search efforts. By actively advocating for quality services and resource acquisition, you will empower individuals to achieve sustainable employment and self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Client's Rights and prevention of violations

  • Provide flexible service availability, including evenings and weekends as requested

  • Participate in clinical team meetings to identify client strengths and develop recovery plans

  • Assess vocational strengths and arrange relevant training opportunities for clients

  • Coordinate services, advocate for quality, and facilitate resource acquisition

  • Facilitate job skills training, job search activities, and success coaching

  • Maintain knowledge of community recovery resources for clients and families

  • Monitor external service providers for effective communication and coordination

  • Provide experiential training in employment skills and resource acquisition

  • Deliver education aligned with rehabilitation plans and discharge planning

  • Participate in community events, media, and committees as necessary

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or a closely related field

  • Equivalent experience may substitute for education at a rate of one year for each year of required education

Additional Qualifications:

  • Acceptable motor vehicle record
