Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a meticulous and detail-oriented Paralegal in our Chicago, Illinois office. This role involves working closely with attorneys to prepare, file, and monitor various immigration and nationality law matters. You will also be recognized for your expertise in particular areas of practice and serve as a team and practice group resource.

Responsibilities:

• Frequently communicate with assignees and HR contacts, often serving as the main point of contact.

• Provide guidance to assignees and HR contacts regarding proprietary systems and case processing.

• Thoroughly understand multiple communication procedures and requirements for assignees and HR contacts.

• Input client services rendered and send to Accounting for processing.

• Demonstrate mastery of multiple case types, continually build on knowledge and develop expertise in new areas.

• Process a high volume of cases and work on cases of increasing complexity and variation.

• Evaluate problematic cases and provide strategies and/or solutions to issues, partnering with Attorneys as needed.

• Prepare forms, letters, documents, and correspondence for attorney review; adapt tools and resources for casework that deviates from templates.

• Manage the status of all filed applications and petitions and finalize documents after attorney review.

• Utilize document and data management systems to prepare, monitor, and record all aspects of client casework as per policy.

• Prepare internal caseload reports for management; begin to generate reports for internal and external use to serve as effective quality assurance and to assist in client management.

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with Case Management Software and Management System.

• Experience with LexisNexis for legal research.

• Capability to handle Billing Functions and Calendar Management.

• Proven skills in Briefing and Complaint Handling.

• Experience in Immigration Law is desirable.

• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Familiarity with Client Intake procedures.

• Ability to handle Claim Administration effectively.

• Authorized to work in the United States.
