Job Summary:

As theBuyer Planner Supervisor at Crane Aerospace & Electronics, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Buyer/Planner group. Your primary responsibility will be to drive performance excellence through key performance indicators (KPIs) and standardization of processes. You'll lead by example, ensuring the team remains informed, productive, and aligned with business objectives while continuously improving processes.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze business needs and communicate changes effectively to keep the team focused on meeting goals and enhancing processes.

  • Serve as the champion for the Material Replenishment System (MRS) Tool.

  • Lead company initiatives such as On-Time Delivery (OTD) and inventory reduction, emphasizing lean principles and kanban replenishment methods.

  • Foster the development of intellectual capital within the team, emphasizing talent regardless of background and promoting a culture of trust and respect.

  • Drive continuous improvement through the Crane Business System (CBS) tools.

  • Maintain a high level of customer focus, both internally and externally.

  • Escalate issues promptly to achieve resolution.

  • You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Buyer/Planner/Material Handler group.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-7 years in a supply chain role.

  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of drawings and specifications.

  • Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle (preferred).

  • Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business. APICS certification would be a plus.

  • Eligibility Requirement: This position requires access to controlled data or information and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety eye glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes

  • Standing: 50% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

  • Sitting: 50% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

  • Lifting (in pounds): up to 25 pounds

  • Pushing (in pounds): up to 25 pounds

  • Mental/Visual: use of computer

  • Workspace (line, cube, etc.): cubicle/desk
