Job Description Summary

The Product Financial Analyst will partner with business leadership to drive finance operating mechanisms, and lead the analysis, reporting and planning for the Product teams. In collaboration with the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will help define the structure and operating mechanisms to create standard work and improve efficiency across businesses. Through strong partnerships with Commercial, Service, Sourcing, ISC and Global Product teams, this role will support the Franchise P&L and balance sheet to drive financial results aligned with GEHC and PCS objectives.

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

  • Track the growth of the franchise P&L from orders to operating margin to ensure business is continually achieving margin growth

  • Partner with central functions leaders (HR, Marketing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory) to manage the sub-segment spending in line with budget and report cost estimates to the Financial Planning and Analysis team (FP&A). Track and manage headcount for full-time employees and contractors

  • Partner with the Diagnostic Cardiology CFO, CTO & Operations Leadership Team to prioritize R&D projects and manage spend. This includes business case reviews, ongoing maintenance, and product profitability analysis to optimize return on investment

  • Partner with Operations to create and deliver annual variable cost productivity for Diagnostic Cardiology teams and support annual costing process. Manage product variable cost including FMIs, inventory scrap & obsolescence, variable cost productivity

  • Support Finance Manager to develop reporting packages and presentations for Monthly / Quarterly Operating Reviews

  • Drive cost out rigor leveraging reporting tools on indirect expenses such as T&L, telecom, supplies, purchased services and program spend.

  • Support the Diagnostic Cardiology CFO & GM to establish 3-year strategic plans, operating plan, and monthly/quarterly / Weekly forecasting for the P&L to deliver financial results growth

  • Lead cross-functional projects to drive simplification & digitization throughout the organizations and to improve rigor while reducing cost and effort

  • Ensure Compliance and Controllership across financial transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar concentration with a minimum of four (4) years’ financial work experience; or high school diploma GED with a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions, and regions

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering presentations and memoranda to senior-level executives

  • Demonstrated ability to work in team environment

  • Experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and Macros)

  • Able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives, and drive positive change

  • Clear thinking/problem-solving as demonstrated through having successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions involving process improvements

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs; established project management skills
