Position Summary

CVS Health has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Analytical Manager (Individual Contributor) position. You will report to the Director of Analytical Insights. This position is open to fully remote candidates and can work anywhere in the U.S.

Our case volume, call volume, staff production efficiency and Resource Planning is our business foundation for planning and driving efficiency. The building of this business allows us to support our business partners and members.

This position delivers the analytics and insights to support CGSO operations. You will act as an internal analytics specialist, utilizing tools such as SSIS, SSRS, Teradata, Alteryx, Tableau and other analytical tools. You will be the technical subject matter expert supporting data automation reporting from multiple data source connections. This includes Novologix, CAS, MedHok, phone, and Verint data. The position will focus on automation of current manual data processes, as well as supporting data staging necessary for Tableau dashboards. These dashboards will support the prior authorization business insights and exception requests. You will work with various business partners in operations to gain an understanding of their needs and develop appropriate business logic metrics to be represented in Tableau KPIs.

A minimum requirement of 5+ years of experience with below qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge on Database Related Technologies such PL/SQL, SQLS, Stored Proc, SQL Tuning and Collections

  • Creating SQL queries, packages, stored procedures, functions and views for ad-hoc, and recurring standard reports or file builds

  • Microsoft SQL Server database development experience, troubleshooting, tuning Microsoft SQL and proficiency with database query optimizations

  • Advanced level knowledge on ETL tools such as SQL SERVER INTEGRATION Services(SSIS), SQL SERVER REPORTING SERVICES(SSRS) , Alteryx

  • Understanding and exposure of multiple RDBMS, as well as complex SQL Report Development skills across a variety of Database platforms such as Oracle and Teradata.

  • Database design and working knowledge of logical and physical data models.

  • Experience in converting business requirement into Technical Specification Document.

  • Experience in Database design, application development, maintenance and support for retail or healthcare industry.

Software Development Life Cycle process experience and knowledge to insure the delivery of a quality reporting application with the appropriate documentations and on-going support

Ability to lead projects, analyze complex database tables and files, and define and provide assistance to resolve issues in the CVS CGSO area.

Problem solving and analytic ability – be able to understand the big picture, determine impacts to the business and understand the urgency of the matter.

Ability to interact with others in a professional manner and help foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to complete key tasks.

Excellent technical skills to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment and good communication and interpersonal skills are a must.

Agile mindset and believe in delivering smaller projects more quickly to provide value and gain feedback.

Ability to quickly develop knowledge and understanding of new domains and underlying data sources.

Excellent Problem-Solving Skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience and proficiency with SQL Server 2014/2016 versions and SQL Server on GCP is a plus

Front End programming using dot net preferred.

Ability to be a mentor to less experienced team members to drive compliance for best practices, methods, standards, and processes.

Prior experience with PBM services, insurance, or healthcare

Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to and fielding questions from PBM Business PartnersEducation

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$63,300.00 - $139,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
