Your Career

We are looking for a highly motivated Data Analyst Intern to join our JAPAC Go-To-Market Shared Services team. As an intern, you will play a key role in a data analysis initiative focused on partner engagement in the JAPAC region. Your work will help us identify trends and correlations to better drive business outcomes. At the end of the internship, you will also gain a good understanding of Palo Alto Networks business and our value proposition.

Your Impact

  • Work with key business stakeholders and regional teams (sales operations, data analysts, strategy and planning) to deliver insights, reports, visualization and analysis to solve important business problems and optimize growth opportunities

  • Champion a data analysis project around partners engagement in JAPAC - Leverage methodology such as Recency/Frequency/Monetary to identify potential partners across the region

  • Work with complex data sets from across the value chain such as sales, technology and location to conduct multivariate analytics

  • Passionate about working with big data to define, implement and monitor business KPIs, as well as to provide data driven insights to the business

  • Perform deep analytical dives into transactional database and identify sub-sets of trends and correlations to better drive business outcomes

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support cross functional projects

Your Experience

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in data science / artificial intelligence, data analytics, statistics, computer science, or a relevant discipline

  • Analytical and comfortable dealing with data including data manipulation, data / statistical analysis to generate trends, forecasts, observations and reports/dashboards

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively and professionally (verbal and written) with stakeholders across the organisation

  • Strong business acumen and demonstrates ability to grasp business requirements from stakeholders

  • Champion of data and visualization with strong presentation and story-telling skills

  • Self starter with the ability to work independently

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and demonstrates ability to write advanced macros

  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Data Studio) is a plus

  • Commitment period of 3 months full-time and ability to start asap
