We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Business Manager - Rural to join our team at Nestle Purina. As the Customer Business Manager, you will play a key role in driving accelerated profitable growth in the Rural channel through the development and execution of customer plans and collaborative partnerships.

You are stepping into a pivotal role within the Pet Specialty team. We seek those with a true passion for driving sales, a strength in strategic planning, category understanding and team development.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF...

• Develop and execute customer strategies and key financial metrics

• Achieve customer sales targets and initiatives, including trade/customer/shopper marketing

• Define, develop, and execute joint business plans with key Rural customers

• Develop strong relationships with key customers and internal & external stakeholders

• Lead customer range and business reviews

• Drive growth in the Rural channel through strategic deployment across retailers and rural partners

• Achieve a chosen position for Nestle Purina Petcare through ranging and distribution objectives

• Optimise and manage trade investment through effective budget control

• Facilitate the management of key sponsorship partnerships

• Ensure accurate account forecasting of categories

• Provide leadership and development to direct reports

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL

• Minimum 3 years of senior sales experience

• Minimum 3 years of sales or pet food industry experience

• Degree in Business, Sales Marketing, or related field.

• Proven experience in successfully managing and developing direct reports.

• Knowledge of the NZ Rural sector would be ideal.

• Strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and PC literacy.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strategic thinking.
