Job Overview:

The Rehabilitation Liaison will be responsible for working with the Director of Pre-Admissions and Referral Development teams in developing the census as defined through targeted goals of the strategic initiatives. The Rehabilitation Liaison is also responsible for developing relationships with referral sources in RWJBarnabas Health-New Brunswick via face to face contact. This position is responsible for representing Children's Specialized Hospital in all appropriate units in RWJBarnabas Health-New Brunswick. In addition, the Rehabilitation Liaison will identify new business and potential opportunities within the identified units. An understanding of healthcare operations, legal guidelines and competitive analysis is needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in health-related field

  • NJ Driver s license

  • Minimum 2-5 years clinical experience with clinical rehabilitation emphasis

  • Ability to accurately assess patients for rehabilitation

  • A proven record of sales|marketing

  • Strong critical thinking, decision making and relationship building skills

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Must have own car

Preferred:

  • Knowledge/ use of EPIC and Sales Force

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • Valid NJ Driver s License

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Full Time

  • 40 hours/week

Essential Functions:

  • Meets expectations of department staff positions as required to meet customer expectations

  • Responsible for the coordination of all intake information in conjunction with Director of Pre- Admissions

  • Ensures that all necessary information on patient|patient's family is obtained and provided to the Pre-admissions team

  • Creates an environment that enables the department to fulfill its mission and meet or exceed its goals

  • Extensive contacts with client families, health care teams at other agencies, other case management units, Patient Care Coordinators and other departments within the hospital

  • Frequent contacts with Trauma Coordinators, NICU, PICU, Trauma Physicians, Insurance Case Managers staff, patients, parents, lawyers and organizations affiliated with the hospital
