Lowe's Intl Transportation Sr Analyst in Mooresville, North Carolina
Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Customs Compliance operations of Lowe’s (top five largest importer in the United States) leading responsibility for US Customs Brokerage and Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) operations. This individual is responsible for supporting customs broker performance and the customs clearance of our $8B in direct import product to US Customs. Leads systems and processes ensuring customs compliance. Coordinates commercial documentation and exception management workflow with vendors, 3PL's, customs broker, and internal stakeholders. Administers our C-TPAT program and international supply chain security requirements including submissions to US Customs. Leads resolution of CBP and Participating Government Agency customs holds at US ports. Manages broker payment processes and exceptions . Reviews vendor security audit reports and manages corrective action plans . Represents Lowe's Transportation in meetings and conference calls with carriers, vendors, and various internal departments regarding Customs related operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads customs brokerage contract management including procurement, contracting, and performance management activities
Conducts strategic analysis of customs compliance KPI’s and service level agreements to optimize performance while minimizing landed cost and risk
Develop KPI reports to monitor performance and action SLA issues
Manage C-TPAT compliance including 3rd party services, factory performance, and correction action plans
Review and resolve import customs holds in collaboration with suppliers, customs broker, and CBP
Calculate landed costs , audit broker invoices , and resolve billing discrepancies
Conduct periodic compliance training sessions , assist in internal audits and assessments
Ensure Lowe’s is compliant with regulatory importing requirements and documentation
Demonstrates and fosters an environment of continuous improvement
Partner with internal stakeholders on new merchandise programs to ensure items are correctly set-up for importation
Ability to track shipments via internal and external systems as needed
Subject matter expert for Lowe’s customs brokerage & C-TPAT operations
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
Experience Required:
4-6+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field
Experience with customs compliance and customs brokerage
Experience with data analysis and/or statistical work
Advanced use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Strong organizational, problem solving, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
Detail oriented with exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated self-starter with consistent drive to follow-up and follow through on key deliverables
Strong ability to communicate and interact with internal and external associates at all levels
Advanced knowledge of international transportation processes and practices
Sound judgment and ability to make decisions balancing capacity, capability, service, and cost
Preferred Qualifications:
Customs Broker License preferred but not required
