Job ID361074 LocationTwin Cities Job FamilySupplemental Employee Full/Part TimePart-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code0001 Employee ClassCivil Service About the Job Job Responsibilities: Project coordination: coordinate all aspects of research (e.g., recruitment, data collection, data management, participant follow-up) Data collection: lead collection of research data in-person and virtually Lead recruitment: do recruitment calls, prepare recruitment materials and coordinate with community partners to facilitate recruitment Administrative duties: organization of files, data entry, phone calls, attending meetings, assisting in study protocols and interview guides, preparing materials for data collection, submitting manuscripts, submitting IRB materials Assisting PI with literature reviews for peer-reviewed publications: background literature searches, synthesizing the literature, using reference software (Zotero; Mendeley), writing manuscripts Assisting PI in other existing research activities as needed, such as qualitative coding and running basic analysis for investigators Qualifications Required Qualifications: B.A. or B.S. in psychology, public health, sociology, anthropology, another social science discipline, biology, or health sciences Ability to work well independently and with a team Demonstrated effective communication skills (verbal and written) Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills Self-starter Preferred Qualifications: Experience participating in data collection for research, including recruitment, survey development, qualitative interviews, and in-person data collection Interest in research on patient-provider communication, health equity, hypertension, and community-based research Eligibility for application to an NIH Diversity Supplement About the Department The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Minnesota was created more than 50 years ago in response to a legislative mandate to train primary care physicians. Since then, we have been leaders in transforming the specialty through education, research, and patient care. We are the academic sponsor of seven family medicine residencies-five in the Twin Cities, two in Greater Minnesota.
