What you will do:

As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading manufacturing engineering projects, optimizing manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement, and managing a team of engineers. Your goal is to ensure successful project execution, improve manufacturing efficiency, and drive overall business success.

Manufacturing Engineering Manager, your primary responsibility is to lead and oversee manufacturing engineering projects within the company. Here is the job description outlining key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:

  • Project management: You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing manufacturing engineering projects from start to finish. This includes creating project plans, defining project goals and objectives, developing project timelines, and allocating resources.

  • Manufacturing process optimization: You will analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity. This may involve implementing lean manufacturing principles, conducting time and motion studies, and identifying opportunities for automation and technology integration.

  • New product introduction: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product development and production, to successfully introduce new products into manufacturing. This includes evaluating production feasibility, developing process flows, and establishing manufacturing capabilities.

  • Continuous improvement: You will drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process improvements, cost reduction strategies, and quality enhancements. This may include implementing Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other improvement methodologies.

  • Team leadership and development: You will lead a team of manufacturing engineers, providing guidance, support, and coaching to foster their professional growth. This includes setting performance goals, conducting performance evaluations, and facilitating training and development opportunities.

  • Collaboration and communication: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as design engineering, supply chain, and quality, to ensure smooth project execution. Effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and senior management is essential to ensure project success.

  • Risk management: You will identify and mitigate risks within manufacturing engineering projects to minimize potential disruptions or delays. This may involve conducting risk assessments, implementing contingency plans, and monitoring project progress.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

  • experience in project management within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.

  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement practices.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet project deadlines.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $135,000 - $155,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
