JOB REQUIREMENTS: Adjunct Instructor (multiple positions) - Anthropology, Criminology & Law Studies, Sociology, and Social Welfare and Justice (Fall 2024) The Department of Social and Cultural Sciences is hiring adjunct instructors to teach courses in Anthropology, Criminology & Law Studies, Sociology, and Social Welfare & Justice, including introductory courses and upper division electives. Positions begin in August 2024. The Department of Social and Cultural Sciences offers undergraduate majors in Anthropology, Criminology & Law Studies, Sociology, and Social Welfare & Justice and has a graduate program in Criminal Justice Data Analytics. Duties and Responsibilities Applicants should be prepared to contribute by teaching introductory as well as upper division elective classes in their areas of specialization. The successful candidate(s) will have full responsibility for the courses and sections they teach, including course and syllabus preparation, grading exams and other assignments. Must maintain a minimum of 3 office hours a week. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Masters Degree preferred or substantial progress toward the terminal degree. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Master\'s degree in Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field. Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
