One Health IT Support Technician in Miles City, Montana

The location for this position can be at one of our following sites in Montana or Wyoming: Miles City, Harlem, or Powell. Occasional travel between sites will be required.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible to ensure technology is accessibility to all staff members, which may include troubleshooting. Ensures that all equipment is furnished with current hardware and software. May be responsible for multiple devices across multiple sites.

COMPENSATION: $22.88-$24.40 hr/ DOE

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time

AVAILABILITY: Monday to Friday

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certificates/Licenses:

Required

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Valid driver’s license

    Preferred

  • Associate degree in business, information technology or health administration; or one (1) to three (3) years’ experience. Can be a combination of both.

    Experience:

    Required

  • One (1) year experience in information technology

    Preferred

  • Three (3) years’ experience in information technology

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Ensures technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software

    Main Activities

  • Troubleshoots hardware, software, and network operating system

  • Be familiar with all hardware and software, and network operating system

  • Provides orientation to new users of existing technology

  • Trains staff about new and potential uses of existing technology

  • Provides individual training and supports on request

  • Provides recommendations about accessing information and support

  • Maintains current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources

    1. Monitor and maintain technology to ensure maximum access

    Main Activities

  • Troubleshoots all technology issues

  • Maintains log and/or list of required repairs and maintenance

  • Makes recommendations about purchase of technology resources

  • Researches current and potential resources and services

  • Provides network access to all staff and students

  • Installs workstations; connects and sets up hardware and all required software

  • Provides network accounts and passwords as required

  • Monitors and maintains security of all technology

  • Advises staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status

  • Ensures installation of lock out programs

  • Identifies and prepares hardware for disposal when appropriate

  • Ensures hardware is stripped and secured before disposal

    1. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

    2. Adheres to all One Health Policies and Procedures.

    3. Participates in performance optimization and risk management activities as required.

    4. Cooperates and abides by all elements of One Health’s Compliance Program.

    5. Provides exceptional customer service and models the mission of One Health when interacting with internal and external stakeholders promoting a positive image for the health center.

    6. Performs other duties as assigned or required with or without prior notification.
