Primary Function

As a Creative Director in ECS (Enterprise Creative Solutions) you will work in a team environment to create visual experiences that delight clients while achieving business goals. You will be responsible for inspiring the creative team and working closely with them to deliver strategic, effective creative executions for print and digital channels with a primary focus on digital marketing. You respect brand positioning and know when to push the limits to improve the customer experience or capitalize on results. You’ll be collaborating with writers, developers, technologists, integrators, art buyers and account leads, as well as other creative leads, art directors and Group Creative Directors. Your goal will be to deliver solid solutions for products and services across various lines of business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with a diverse agency team as well as product and tech partners in support of the client brief.

  • Inspire creative teams to develop strategically grounded, insight-driven creative.

  • Push your craft, continuously improve your skillset, and lead innovation and fresh approaches in concepting through design execution.

  • Share your ideas and demonstrate clear presentation skills. Communicate what the client experience will be direct information architecture, workflows and interdependencies through schematics and design development.

  • Actively participate in design meetings and critiques, ensuring adherence to standards while keeping an eye out for improvements or reasonable exceptions.

  • Present and influence with a convincing and inspiring style to increase buy-in and open the door for new opportunities - both for the team as well as the agency.

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of advertising and marketing trends and translate business intent into creative strategies and executions that market products effectively.

  • Embrace working remotely while collaborating with teammates and partners in other locations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • The ability to conceptualize, collaborate and influence a creative team to create fully integrated human experiences and develop print and digital communications, that align to broader campaigns while ensuring channel best-practices.

  • The ability to interpret and implement brand expression.

  • The ability to work with developers and programmers to ensure designs are functionally and technologically sound.

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to provide sound creative rationale.

  • Keen eye for detail as well as the ability to work in the various design programs.

  • Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments concurrently in a fast-paced environment, partner effectively and consistently meet deadlines.

  • Work on Mac but also be proficient on PC.

  • Creative Cloud - including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and Acrobat Pro

  • MS Office Suite ¬ including Word, PowerPoint (strong proficiency), Excel, Outlook

  • Mac/PC cross platform

  • Have an understanding and proficiency in accessibility design and standards for the web such as WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), Web Content, User Agents, Authoring Tools, Operable UI, Nav, etc.

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience

  • 7+ years of art direction and/or design experience in an agency or corporate environments, designing and influencing across multiple devices and platforms.

  • Understanding of print and digital production and deployment.
