Job Description

We're looking for a Marketing Automation Manager to lead the Marketing Automation Team. This person will be responsible for managing team members including assessing bandwidth, project delegation, project management, and career development. This person will also be hands on in managing our campaign execution strategy, email marketing best practices, and related Eloqua workflows. In addition to managing these areas, this person will be recommending and executing progressive improvements across each area.

This is a highly cross functional role requiring both strategic and tactical execution, as well as strong program management. This team member will work closely with marketing, sales/sales enablement, sales operations, and technical stakeholders to develop processes for a high growth marketing organization and should have exceptional problem-solving skills.

This role resides in Jersey City and reports to the Senior Director, Marketing Operations. This role is hybrid with 2 days in our headquarter office located in Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Verisk's customer relationship management and email marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Lead and manage a team of 3 marketing automation specialists, managing email marketing calendars and deployment schedules, assignment of work, providing guidance and mentorship to plan, manage, and execute email marketing campaigns, ensuring campaigns are on-brand and synergistic with other email and broader marketing streams
  • Develop and implement marketing automation campaign execution strategy: targeting, A/B testing, QA, etc
  • Lead and manage end-to-end process of our email nurture stream, from conceptualization and design to deployment, measurement, and analysis
  • Manage and optimize our marketing automation (Eloqua) tool, streamlining processes, standardizing workflows, improving integrations, and increasing efficiency
  • Manage and troubleshoot integration and data/lead flow from Eloqua to Salesforce
  • Act as the email marketing subject matter expert and Eloqua platform subject matter expert, providing guidance on email best practice as well as system setup knowledge and learnings
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to improve effectiveness
  • Work with the greater marketing operations, marketing analytics, and CRM technology teams for connected email metrics
  • Partner with stakeholders from various departments such as marketing, sales, operations, legal, product, engineering, and IT
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • Minimum of 8+ years experience in an email marketing/marketing automation professional role in an enterprise corporate environment
    • Minimum 4+ years of Eloqua experience; certification a plus
  • Minimum 4+ years experience managing a team
  • Minimum 3+ years of working experience with Salesforce.com - admin experience preferred
  • Great attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing compliance policies and/or preference centers
  • Understand of full funnel lead management including lead capture, enrichment, scoring, and routing
  • HTML knowledge a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and lead conversations with senior leadership and key stakeholders
