We are looking for a talented individual who would like to be part of an organisation driving hyper-growth and helping startups operate on AWS and innovate on our platform. Do you have the business savvy to lead a cross-functional team that includes specialists, solution architects, and product and partner teams to deliver business growth for AWS and our startup customers? AWS is seeking an experienced Account Manager for Strategic Startup Sales to lead and expand the business with our hottest Vietnamese Startups.

The right candidate will possess a technology sales management background and experienced with engagements at the CXO level. He/she should also be able to effectively engage AWS’ most senior product leaders and executive team to define and deliver creative proposals and influence roadmap decisions for both AWS and our ISV partners. Lastly, you must be a self-starter who is prepared to own, define, develop and execute a geographic plan and to consistently deliver on quarterly wins targets.

Key job responsibilities

As an Account Manager with Amazon Web Services (AWS) focused on startup ecosystem, you will have the exciting opportunity to build AWS’ startup business and contribute to the future of Vietnam’s startup ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include increasing awareness, adoption, and market expansion across Vietnam.

The ideal candidate will possess both a business development and technical background that enables him or her to drive an engagement with startup founders, startup CXOs, IT architects as well as other startup ecosystem players such as channel partners and VC partners. He/she should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage and growth plan.

This opportunity will be based in Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi

Key job responsibilities

• Build AWS' startup business in Vietnam and increase adoption of AWS services.

• Develop and execute against a comprehensive sales plan.

• Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.

• Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.

• Possess the technical ability to explain (not implement) Cloud Computing, infrastructure solutions (Server, Storage, DC Services), Artificial Intelligence Services & Internet architectures (firewalls, load balancers, etc).

• Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.

• Ensure customer satisfaction.

• Expect moderate travel.

Basic Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.

• A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.

• 10 years of experience in IT sales.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct sales experience with Vietnam based customers.

• Existing network in the Vietnam Startup community is a plus.

• Would have consistently exceeded key performance metrics.

• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.

• Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiences.

• Strong technical competencies in the areas of cloud computing, SOA, web services and enterprise software.

• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
