TITLE: Custodian

Full Time

BASIC FUNCTION

NON-EXEMPT POSITION

The custodian maintains a clean working environment for all students, staff, and visitors, ensuring all areas are safe. The duties and responsibilities (which are listed) are typical of what is expected of the custodians that work for Scott County Catholic Schools; however, the list is not all-inclusive. Other duties, that are reasonable and ?tting for a custodian, may be assigned from time to time by the pastor, principal, director of religious education, or parish administrator. These same individuals or groups may assist the custodian in the identi?cation of priorities. However, because most of the custodians activities relate to the school building, the principal has the daily supervisory responsibility for the custodians. The head custodian works during the daytime and is responsible for snow removal and emergencies. The head custodian works year round, including during the summer months. The head custodian also works with the night time custodians to ensure the building is maintained appropriately.

Reports to the Principal for the successful performance of assigned duties.

Assist and coordinate with other parish administration and school staff to assure the successful performance of assigned job duties and responsibilities.
