  • This job is a member of the Network and Schedule Planning Team within the Revenue Division.

  • Responsible for analyzing and developing future network schedules that are designed to maximize American’s profitability, working collaboratively with all groups within the Network Planning and the rest of the Commercial organization.

What you'll do

  • Develops schedules in the AirVision Schedule Manager environment that meet operational constraints and optimize profitability.

  • Close in schedule adjustments related to supportability and demand environment changes.

  • Collaborates and assists cross-functional groups to drive outcomes to the benefit of the entire airline.

  • Performs data analyses to solve schedule optimization problems. Leverages understanding of the airline business and commercial goals to drive results and innovative solutions.

  • Possesses a team-focused attitude and an ability to coordinate with stakeholders in Network Planning, Operations Research, and IT

  • Represents Network Planning during interactions with other commercial and operational groups

  • Develop an understanding of the various hub contributions to the overall network

  • Support in the planning for a successful execution of the AA operation

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/training

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Advanced degree

  • Knowledge of airline networks and network economics

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Ability to solve complex problems and puzzles in a constrained and dynamic environment

  • Adaptive to new ideas and business processes in an ever-changing marketplace

  • Forward thinking self-starter that can transition between independent and collaborative team structures

  • Capability to challenge self and team to develop future-oriented network strategies

  • Ability to communicate, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to drive outcomes which benefit the entire airline while focused commercial goals to drive results and innovative solutions

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Knowledge of AirVision Schedule Manager
