Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Data Analyst in Lexington, Kentucky. The role primarily involves working with large databases and complex excel files, and requires strong analytical and business intelligence skills. The position involves handling confidential customer information, hence adherence to non-disclosure agreements is critical.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing large databases, with a focus on efficient and effective data handling.

• Working extensively with Excel to manage and manipulate data, not on a line-by-line basis but through advanced techniques.

• Changing data formats in Excel as per the requirements.

• Utilizing Apache Spark, Erwin Data, HDFS, and AWS technologies for data analysis.

• Applying AB Testing methods to analyze the efficacy of different approaches.

• Handling sensitive customer information, maintaining utmost confidentiality and adhering to non-disclosure agreements.

• Collaborating with the team to close data-related tasks promptly.

• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the data being handled.

• Using business intelligence tools for data analysis and decision making.

• Addressing any inquiries or issues related to the data analysis process.

Requirements • Proven experience in a Data Analyst role or similar is required.

• Proficient in Database management and data analysis.

• Strong understanding of Analytics and its application in business decision-making.

• Demonstrable experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools and techniques.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, and charts.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Must possess strong problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics.
