Huntington National Bank Treasury Liquidity Analyst Sr. in Chicago, Illinois

Summary:

Huntington is seeking a Corporate Treasury Liquidity Analyst to join the Funding Desk. The qualified individual will support dynamic liquidity management, and funding optimization/execution with exposure to related markets. The role provides for significant interaction with senior management and requires exceptional attention to detail and communication abilities. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of the bank’s Federal Reserve intraday and closing cash positions and optimization of discount window borrowing capacity as well as Huntington’s net debit cap

  • Maintain and optimize external funding sources including, but not limited to, Fed Funds, Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB), and Brokered Deposits. Includes interaction with external broker-dealers and execution on existing funding sources, as well as evaluation of potential new funding alternatives

  • Forecast funding needs for the bank including short-term forecasting

  • Monitor daily balance sheet activity and prepare daily/periodic reporting and analysis on funding and deposits for internal use as well as externally with relevant regulatory bodies

  • Work cross-functionally to meet regulatory requirements and reporting deadlines

  • Regularly participate in meetings with Senior Management, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and other key stakeholders

  • Monitor and synthesize updates to regulatory and market guidance regarding liquidity management

  • Partner with Treasury Operations to further develop and enhance collateral reporting useability and streamline collateral management process flows.

  • Market and peer-based analysis related to balance sheet and funding strategy

    Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years+ of Corporate Treasury or related Finance experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in an applicable field (Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, etc.)

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple, competing priorities

  • Strong knowledge of financial institution balance sheets and interconnectivity with funding and liquidity risk management

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to bring outcomes forward in a thoughtful manner and clearly summarize complex business problems and detailed analyses

  • Sense of curiosity and drive to learn and develop in a growing organization

  • Experience with SQL and/or relational databases
