Compensation: Starting at $20.00 p/hour

$300 Sign-on Bonus After Completion of the 90-day Probationary Period

Summary/Objective

The Returns Associate works closely with our Customer Service and Warehouse team members to address all customer questions regarding product exchanges, replacements, and returns. This position is responsible for processing and authorizing returned items from customers including handling and inspecting returns, and processing information pertaining to merchandise to be returned to the manufacturer because of defects or quantity errors. Essential Functions

  • Examine and compare returned merchandise with the original order to record information such as quantity, type of defect, and date on the invoice or other forms.

  • Enter return information into our inventory management and CRM system such as ZOHO creator, Monday.com, Big Commerce, Sku Vault, google sheets etc.

  • Calls customers concerning their return and obtains all necessary information to ensure the opportunity for complete satisfaction is provided.

  • Complete all necessary forms for all returned items and track all inventory transactions made through the returns process.

  • Enter or retrieve relevant information into/from our inventory management system to ensure returns are processed correctly.

  • Manage and process customer returns and communicate with appropriate staff to ensure similar issues are prevented in the future.

  • Carefully inspect and clean all returned products for damage.

  • Repackage, Reship, or restock returned products with care after careful inspection.

  • Box and prepare replacement products for shipment.

  • File claims with the suppliers and communicate with the suppliers if the products are defective.

  • Properly disposed of defective products based on company guidelines.

  • Assist other departments as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Returns Manager.

    Experience & Skills Required

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and equipment, often in challenging environments.

  • Utilize Stepladder, Utility knife, Transport Carts, Transfer Pallets.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a warehouse environment. Where the noise level can be loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, filing cabinets, Box cutters, Pallet Jacks and Picking Carts etc.

    Physical Demands

    In this role, the employee must meet certain physical demands to effectively carry out essential job functions. During job duties, the employee is expected to talk and hear regularly. Additionally, standing, walking, using hands or fingers to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms are frequent requirements. The role also involves lifting, moving, climbing, bending, and squatting, as well as operating a pallet jack. It's essential that the employee can lift/carry/move items up to 30 pounds frequently and push and pull full rolling racks of returned merchandise.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Days and hours to be specified.

    Required Education and Experience

    A High School Diploma or GED is required and a minimum of one year of customer service or related experience or any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. required. Ability to read and write English. Must have intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and knowledge of Google‐based programs such as google sheets/Docs.

    Preferred Education and Experience

  • Familiarity with the vaping industry (preferred but not required).

  • Experience with inventory management systems and E-commerce platforms.

  • Experience working in a warehouse environment.

    Work Authorization

    Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
